IT Knocks Plus already handled core HR operations: payroll, leaves, benefits and employee records. The team was adding an AI layer that analyses performance data and recommends personalised training for each employee.
The challenge
Two very different users had to live inside the same product: admins running the workforce, and employees managing their own day to day. One-size-fits-all would have failed both.
The solution
We designed two purpose-built experiences on a shared foundation. Admins got a command-center view for monitoring employees, payroll and AI-surfaced skill gaps across the organisation. Employees got a personal workspace for leaves, benefits and training tailored to them. The AI was woven into both sides, showing up as strategic insight for admins and as timely, relevant nudges for employees, never as a separate module tacked on top.
The results
The rollout landed smoothly across the company. Admins adopted the new dashboards without friction, employees engaged with their personal views and the AI recommendations, and what could have been a messy HR overhaul became a platform people open on their own.
